Hi, my name is Paul Robinson.
I am a graphic designer/illustrator based in the North East of England. I am skilled in developing creative ideas and concepts, determining optimum media, format and style to meet project objectives within assignment brief, deadline and budget.
Since childhood, I have had a passion for creating art.
While other kids were dreaming about becoming train drivers, pilots or astronauts, I always knew that my future lay in becoming a graphic designer. Thankfully, the thrill of creating remains as strong today as it always has.
My first gig as a graphic designer was for a screen printing firm, and I loved it.
That was back in the late 80s before computers had been embraced as a mainstream tool by the creative community. Back then, the job was done with Rotring pens, Letraset, Rubylith, darkrooms and light tables. Ah, those were the days. I can still smell the bromide solution.
The tools for creating professional-level artwork have now become so much more accessible for the artist.
I no longer need a darkroom at my disposal, or to keep hazardous chemicals behind the cheese in the refrigerator! Between my sketchbook, iPad and PC, I have all the equipment I need to be able to create digital and print-ready artwork for any project.
