Acton Plumbing & Heating

I was approached by Acton Plumbing & Heating to design a logo for the newly formed company. After a consultation with the client and reviewing the initial concept sketches, it was decided to go ahead with a logo that incorporated fire and water in a representational style inspired by the yin and yang symbol, a Chinese philosophical concept that describes interconnected opposite forces.

The business name is derived from the surname of the company founder ‘Acton’. In the full colour logo I really like the way the name could be separated into two words, ‘act’ and ‘on’, which could be interpreted as the call to action ‘act on it now!’

The logo was created as vector artwork using Adobe Illustrator.
